New David Douglas Online Academy
David Douglas School District has added an exciting opportunity for students for the 2021-22 school year. The David Douglas Online Academy (DDOA) is a new program designed to serve families that prefer an online educational option for their children.
Students in grades K-12 can attend school virtually. Additionally, interested DDOA students can access courses, activities and athletics at school.
A full time school counselor is available to support students in K-12. Students Kindergarten through grade 5 will have live teacher-led instruction daily, similar to the Comprehensive Distance Learning schedule in the 2020-21 school year. Students in grades 6-12 will be working in a much more independent system with daily teacher contact available. Additionally, students can request to take in-person classes and activities at their neighborhood school.
Currently the DDOA program is serving approximately 400 students that reside in the David Douglas School District.
