Frieda Christopher

Treasurer, Investment Committee

Frieda Christopher is a founding member of the David Douglas Educational Foundation and has served in various capacities on the Foundation Board since 1991.  Frieda holds a BS in Business and a Masters in Business Administration and currently serves as The Foundation’s treasurer. She is the retired Chief Administrative Officer for Cramer Fish Sciences, a fisheries consulting firm with offices in four states.   She has two sons who are graduates of David Douglas High School

She has lived in the David Douglas community since 1976 and has served on various local school and district committees.  She is the longest serving David Douglas School Board member and was first elected in 1991. She also volunteers at Gilbert Heights Elementary, working with children in the classroom.

Besides being involved in David Douglas schools, Frieda has been a member of East Portland Action Plan (EPAP), which has advocated for improvements and city investment in East Portland since 2008.  She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Housing Subcommittee and represents EPAP on the Portland City-wide Budget Advisory Committee.  She is dedicated to seeing continued improvements in our schools and in our community.
