Christine Larsen

Board Member

Christine started working with the David Douglas Educational Foundation during the last three years of her second term as a member of the David Douglas School Board (2013-2021). After the end of eight years on the school board, she joined the foundation as a board member.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from University of Kansas, and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from Purdue University.  Christine has worked in higher education since 1992 and is currently a Director of Finance and Operations in an Institute at OHSU.

Christine and her family moved into the David Douglas School District in 2004. She has two children who graduated from David Douglas High School. She knows that the budget provided to school districts doesn’t cover the extras that help students have rich and diverse educational experiences.  The Foundation is an avenue to provide some of the richness and diversity that helps students succeed and excel.
