Cherie-Anne May

Board Member

Cherie-Anne May is just finishing her second year on the Foundation Board, but has worked closely with the foundation since 2000.

Cherie-Anne holds a BMEd in Music Education from the University of Portland, and a MS in Teaching from Portland State. A native of West Linn Oregon, Cherie-Anne worked in Portland Public Schools as a music educator for 12 years before coming to David Douglas in 1994 where she worked in several positions before retiring as a school administrator in 2015. She is currently doing consulting work in arts education.

Cherie-Anne and her husband moved into the David Douglas School District in 1985. They have one son who is a graduate of David Douglas High School. Cherie-Anne is so happy to be involved with the Foundation and hopes to give back to the Foundation some of the support it has shared with her over the 24 years she has been involved with the David Douglas system.
