Beverly Fischer

President, Scholarship Committee Chair, Investment Committee

Beverly has lived in the David Douglas School District since 1974, began volunteering within the district in 1976, and continues to do so.  Three Fischer children attended DD Schools from kindergarten through graduation and she currently has two grandchildren attending schools within the district.

Beverly has always been extremely supportive of the students, teachers and staff as seen through her thousands of volunteer hours over the years.  She has been a room parent to multiple classrooms, student tutor at elementary and middle schools, PTA officer at the elementary, middle and high school levels, (including PTA President at two different schools simultaneously).  She has also spent countless hours on fundraising activities, volunteer recruitment and placement, “cut and paste” projects, etc. Her children often joke that she is the only one of them who never graduated based upon the number of hours she spends with the district.

Beverly is a firm believer in the success and welfare of all children and has been part of the David Douglas Educational Foundation since its inception in 1991 until present and is always ready, willing and supportive of “one more opportunity” that will benefit the students of David Douglas.
